About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Permanent Cellar Hand to support our wine production operations at our Tharbogang, NSW site. This is a hands-on role assisting with day-to-day cellar activities, ensuring wine is processed, handled and stored safely and efficiently throughout the production cycle.
Working closely with the Winemaking and Production teams, you will help maintain quality standards, support production schedules and contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and monitoring of cellar equipment, including pumps, filters and tanks.
- Perform wine transfers, additions and treatments as directed by the winemaking team.
- Support vintage operations, including grape receival, crushing and fermentation management.
- Monitor wine quality and report any issues or inconsistencies.
- Clean and sanitise tanks, hoses and cellar equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including cellar consumables and materials.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth cellar operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a winery, manufacturing or production environment (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- A current driver’s licence (desirable).
- Must have unrestricted work rights in order to be eligible.
